In this video, Billy tunes the guitar (a beautiful 2007 Tippin Crescendo Dream Series) to DADFCD for an initial exploration, and winds up on DADFCE for comparison. Along the way, he touches on keeping the lower-pitched strings tuned to familiar intervals to allow context, how to safely add tension to the strings as you investigate altered tunings, and how to let the tuning you've settled on inspire melodic exploration.
