I always try to start with something that will lead us to perform,” he explains. “And at a certain point, this kind of playful spirit will eventually become serious.” Fresh out of the Quebec City Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, Robert Lepage understood that he would have to create his own projects and find what made him unique if he hoped to make a living from his art.
