Hello! My last solo trip of the year was to Ise, a place I had long wished to visit. By chance, the date I booked my stay fell on the winter solstice, and I was able to witness a once-a-year mystical sight: the sunrise over the Uji Bridge at the Inner Shrine. I heard that many visitors come to see this sunrise during the month before and after the winter solstice, and it was very crowded on that day as well. I finally had the chance to officially visit the Ise Grand Shrine, and I fully enjoyed strolling and eating along Oharaimachi and Okage Yokocho.
