The Old World: How to build an Army - Kingdom of Bretonnia

In this video we’re doing something a bit special. We’re kicking off the first episode in our ‘How to Build an Old World Army’ series. This series will take a look at each faction and provide an in-depth guide on how one might go about building out a force, including spicy combos and full army lists. This series aims to provide some real analysis around army composition, tactical considerations and competitiveness. As this series needs to consider Arcane Journals, they’ll be developed as the factions get their full releases. Due to this, we’ll be kicking off with the Kingdom of Bretonnia, and looking at the three different ways you may want to create your knightly force. But fear not Legacy players, when there are gaps in between core faction releases, they’ll be filled up with Legacy faction army building goodness. This analysis will be broken down into three parts. First. Advice on collecting this faction. Second. How the faction’s special rules, unit choices and unique spells would influence army building. And third. How to build an army themed to each of the three composition styles, based on the narrative of each theme, while still being competitive. Enjoy!
