This is a video of how I built a cricket or chimney saddle comfortably in my garage. Disclaimer: As roofing is not my profession, if you watch this video and choose to do anything I did, you do so at your own risk. Best Way to Build refers to "in the garage" and is my opinion. It may not be the fastest or most efficient way but definitely more comfortable than on a roof slope. Best practices for methods and choice of materials should be researched.
