For some time on the forums there has been talk of this pump and its presumed or real qualities, after asking the seller for information, without receiving any, I thought I'd try it to get a direct idea of its compatibility with the Chinese heater. Its most striking feature is the fully removable integrated filter comprising a transparent part of 2.5 mm thick plexiglass and a steel filter element. In the seller's description it is indicated as: Fuel Metering Pump, 1KW to 5KW Diesel Heater 22451901 22451910000 Waterproof for Eberspacher Airtronic D2 D4 12V 22ml/1000 Times 28451901 2451910000 Alla (12v-22ml). Both the 2-pin connector, for the power supply, and the sections of the two pipes for the incoming and outgoing diesel are identical to those of classic pumps. The comparison In the video I compare the new 22ml pump (mounted on a 5kW heater) with the supplied pump of the same capacity. The test showed full compatibility and a much lower noise level than the old pump. It must be said that this is a reduced but not zero noise. During the comparison, with the heater set to a power of 4.0 Hz, the ticking of the new pump was barely audible (muffled by the noise of the heater) while the noise of the other pump was still evident. To better understand the noise, I recorded the pump impulses even with the heater off, during the manual filling of the diesel pipe. Consumption at minimum and maximum power is similar to that of the original 22 ml shown in the bench test video of this same heater:    • Riscaldatore a gasolio cinese 5kW, prova d...   The minimum 1.4 and maximum 5.4 hertz taken into consideration for consumption refer to the internal parameters of the heater, i.e. the factory settings protected and accessible only via the password. Often these data do not coincide with the hertz values reported by the display and commonly used as a reference scale to increase or decrease the heater power. In the case of this 5kW the display showed as a minimum hertz 1.7 a higher value than the actual one set at 1.4 Hz. Good impressions at the end of the test. With a cost of 35 euros on Amazon (you can find them even cheaper on Aliexpress) you buy an excellent pump which, in addition to the advantage of being silenced, allows you to do without the low-quality diesel filters supplied with the heater. Having to replace a faulty pump, I would gladly spend something more than a traditional pump, but I would not replace a pump that is still working just to reduce the noise. The noise of the old pumps can be greatly reduced by not fixing them with their rubber support; excellent results are obtained by suspending them using the electrician's clamps as shown in the video. This simple system makes it possible not to transmit or in any case limit the transmission of impulses to the chassis. The situation is different if the pump is installed inside the camper, in which case the advantages can be considerable. When deciding to replace it, check that the characteristics of the old pump are compatible; in fact, the pumps are not all the same, generally the 2kW kits include a 16ml pump while the 5kW ones use 22ml pumps. The data is usually marked on the pump body itself. On the various online sites these new pumps are available with 22 and 28 ml models and 12 or 24V voltages.
