RidmaNadee is an undergraduate talent show organized by the Accounting and Financial Management Association (AFMA), the student body of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Led by second-year undergraduates, this event serves as a dynamic platform for students to showcase their diverse talents, creativity, and innovation while encouraging the discovery and development of unique skills. The event regularly structures its sets, musical acts, and visual sequences around the evolution of Sri Lankan cinema, tracing its history from the vintage black-and-white era to the modern, vivid color palette. The fifth segment of RidmaNadee, titled “Sri Lankan Film Industry (2000 to Present),” showcases the contemporary era of Sri Lankan cinema. Modern Sri Lankan cinema embraces digital technology, diverse themes, and global influences, producing films that explore contemporary society while reaching international audiences.
