Monedero: ridículo histórico

Juan Carlos Monedero proclaimed on Colombian television that the left is morally superior to the right because it “always accepts the election results, even when they are unfavorable,” and assured us, with his “crystal ball,” that we wouldn't hear Iván Cepeda question the first round, which Abelardo de la Espriella won unexpectedly. Minutes later, both Cepeda and Gustavo Petro refused to acknowledge the results, citing a discrepancy of 885,000 voter registration cards and “atypical polling stations.” The same private company that counted and reported Petro's victory in 2022 ceased to be legitimate in 2026, precisely when the results stopped favoring the Petro-led left. A lesson in why one should never accept the moral superiority of someone who never judges themselves by their own standards.
