Casting for Short Films: Artios Awards Nominees | The Business

Artios Awards nominated casting directors Ally Beans ('Ado'), Tanya Giang ('Before the Winter'), Marin Hope ('Teen Mary'), Sunday Boling Kennedy ('The Cockroach') and Hamzah Saman ('Exception') share stories from their nominated projects, provide insight on the current state of the industry for casting directors and performers, and provide expert advice for auditioning and self-taping, moderated by casting director Jamie Ember. The Business panels provide multiple viewpoints from directors, producers, writers, agents, managers, casting directors and industry experts on a wide range of topics. Through this program, actors receive first-hand tips and strategies from established creators and leading professionals who know how to navigate the complex landscape of the entertainment industry. This panel took place on February 18, 2026, at the Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists in Los Angeles.
