Peacock Painting Tutorial and Time Lapse with Acrylic – Celebrating Indian Independence -15th Aug

This video is a painting time lapse and tutorial of painting a peacock with acrylic paints. The painting demo starts at 3:37 mins :)) This tutorial serves a dual purpose – teaches how to paint a peacock with step by step instructions and commentary and also helps me celebrate Indian Independence day. Peacock is the national bird of India. The tricolored background symbolizes the 3 colors in Indian flag – saffron, white and green symbolizing unity, peace and fraternity. The wheel is the “dharma-chakra” located at the centre of the flag. I am painting with acrylics on a 16*20 canvas panel. This was too small a painting surface to paint a realistic peacock and get the fine details right. So, although my style here is close to realistic I went for a little painterly way to make it less labor intensive. This painting is easy to follow and paint it yourself – but as I said this is a little labor intensive and time consuming than the beginner paintings - but not difficult at all. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
