Lateral Ankle Reconstruction
The Lateral Ankle Reconstruction technique animation demonstrates the proper techniques for Lateral Ankle Reconstruction of the anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) and calcaneo-fibular ligament (CFL). The technique utilizes the Arthrex Lateral Ankle Reconstruction System in conjunction with the Presutured Lateral Ankle Tendon Allograft. By utilizing the gold standard interference screw fixation with Arthrex BioComposite Tenodesis Screw™ and a free tendon graft, surgeons are able to achieve a reproducible, rigid and anatomic reconstruction. With a consistent diameter of 4.5 mm, the presutured and pre-sized tendon is designed specifically to meet the requirements of the Lateral Ankle Reconstruction technique. The Lateral Ankle Reconstruction Implant System provides surgeons with all of the necessary Tenodesis screws, drill bits and accessories required to properly recreate the ATFL and CFL.
