*EARLY ARRIVAL* Hicksville F.D. Responds to a Working House Fire!

Just before 2:25 PM, the Hicksville Fire Department was alerted to a report of a car fire at 15 Wilfred BLVD. 9399 and Engine 932 were first due and were faced with a fully involved car fire with extension to two houses. 5803 was the first chief on scene and transmitted a Signal 10 (working fire) and mutual aid units promptly started out. Bethpage Ladder 4 (totally didn’t jump the box lol) was the first due and Engine 935 was second due engine. The fire was knocked pretty quickly, prior to my arrival, and truck crews worked to find extension in the attic. Units operated for 15 minutes until a Signal 12 (under control) was declared. Mutual aid from Jericho, Plainview, Bethpage and Syosset responded to the scene, Levittown, Westbury and Wantagh Levittown V.A.C. responded to standby at the fire station. The scene was operating for roughly 30 minutes before being turned over to the fire marshals, the cause is under investigation.
