Russian-speaking Toronto Yatra was on camping in Ontario Rock Point Provincial Park on July 01-05 2026. A nice park, a beautiful nature, a lot of swimming and a lot of fun in general. The weather was rather hot and cooperative sending us a minimum of rain. Dear friends, a lot of prasadam and, of course, evening kirtans, what could be is the best way to celebrate Canada Day? Rock Point Provincial Park is a 187-hectare recreational area on the north shore of Lake Erie in Dunnville, Ontario. It is famous for its 350-million-year-old fossilized coral reef, a 1-kilometer sandy beach, and its vital role as a stopover for migrating birds and monarch butterflies. Key Features and Activities • Ancient Fossils: A major highlight is the exposed limestone shelf along the beach, which features remarkably intact Devonian-era fossils from a time when the area was a tropical sea. • Camping: The park offers 178 campsites across four main campgrounds (Kinsey, Nice, Miner, and Lookout). Options include electrical and non-electrical sites suitable for both tents and large RVs. • Hiking & Wildlife: The Woodlot Trail is a 2-kilometer path that winds through Carolinian forests and sand dunes.
