科普【臺灣有藍鯨嗎？】Taiwan's first Blue Whale #巨鯨之路

臺灣鯨豚研究約三十年，科學家從未在海上看過藍鯨。2020年1月25日，臺東擱淺一頭藍鯨，臺灣才建立第一筆科學紀錄；經DNA遺傳鑑定，這頭藍鯨親緣來自南半球的族群。歷經三年的努力，這頭藍鯨化作骨骼標本，典藏在屏東海生館。希望臺灣下次再紀錄到藍鯨時，能在美好的大海相遇。 For past 30 years, researchers have never seen a blue whale in Taiwan. On January 25, 2020, a blue whale beached in Taitung, Southeast Taiwan setting the first scientific record in Taiwan. The DNA genetic identification shows this blue whale is related to the population in the Southern Hemisphere. After 3 years of efforts, this blue whale's skeleton is exhibited at the NMMBA in Pingtung.
