EL PAÍS has obtained the conversation between the Atocha control center and the Alvia train after the Iryo train derailment in Adamuz (Córdoba). The control center at Almudena Grandes station tried to contact the Alvia driver as soon as they saw the train had stopped. They called him twice, according to the records, but he didn't answer because he had already died. Unable to reach the driver, a technician called the ticket inspector, and the conversation is particularly dramatic. She was still unaware that the driver had died and moved through the train trying to find him while speaking with Atocha. This conversation took place simultaneously with another technician speaking to the Iryo driver, which proves that he was unaware of the collision. The other conductor, the one speaking with the Iryo driver, also hadn't yet learned of the accident, and that's why he told him not to worry because no trains were passing.
