Custom FJ40 Shock Mounts! Solving Exhaust Clearance the Right Way

The fabrication never stops at The Coop Racing & Fabrication! 🔥 In this episode, Shannon spends the day tackling custom fabrication on both the Chevy K10 and the Toyota FJ40. We start by fabricating a custom brake light switch mount, replacing a damaged brake line, and attempting to get the K10 brakes bled and ready for the road. On the FJ40, it's time to install retractable seat belts before moving on to relocating the front-mounted reservoirs. Not every fabrication project goes perfectly the first time, and sometimes the best solution is starting over! After realizing the reservoir placement wasn't right, Shannon heads back to the drawing board. The day wraps up with one of the biggest fabrication projects yet—building brand-new rear shock mounts directly onto the aluminum lower links. The redesign creates the exhaust clearance the FJ40 needed while keeping the suspension functioning exactly as intended. It's another full day of problem-solving, fabrication, and making custom parts fit where off-the-shelf solutions simply won't work.
