My first impression of the latest gimbal from DJI is that the motors are really strong, the build quality is great, and traveling with this gimbal is a no-brainer. It packs down well, and has multiple locks on the axises for a lay-flat design when storing it in your gear bag. In this video, I’m doing some basic tests and quick demo shots with my gimbal settings, to show how smooth your footage can be with the Ronin-SC. I’m also testing the Active Track 3.0 to see how well it can keep up with my movement. Overall, I appreciate the design and was really impressed with how stable my footage came out, while running around chasing Yumi (@yumbobee). There are some cons and room for improvement which I cover in this first impression video, but overall, it’s a very cost effective gimbal (under $500) that you can be confident in investing in.
