The Bollock Dagger: History's Most Censored Weapon

Become a member for more content on Medieval Wisdom here 👇    / @medievalwisdom   ======================================= For five hundred years, the bollock dagger was the most commonly carried personal weapon in Northern Europe. Knights, merchants, sailors, and peasants all wore one. It served as eating utensil, work tool, and self-defense weapon in a single compact package. Sixty-five of them were found on the wreck of the Mary Rose, still attached to the bodies of drowned Tudor sailors. Then Victorian historians decided the name was too crude and nearly erased it from history. This video explores the real story of the medieval traveler's everyday blade.
