Small Gauge Festival 2021

The Small Gauge Festival this year was held at the Sydney Live Steam Locomotive Society on 6 & 7 November 2021. This is for locomotives 3.5 inch gauge or less. This year it was not able to have interstate visitors due to Covid restrictions however after 4 months of lockdown in NSW this proved to be a popular event, despite gloomy weather forecasts. Locomotives in steam featured include a Heisler, Climax, Dyak, Juliet, NSWGR P class, NSWGR 38 class, Beaver, Buffalo, Britannia, B2, and a Battery diesel. The SLSLS has an elevated track some 380m in length and equipped with swing points to avoid the need to remove footboards when changing lines. The main station has a 10 lever ground frame which operates the points and ex NSWGR signals. A small 45 mm layout was also set up as well as static displays. https://www.slsls.asn.au
