Playing The Violin With Small Hands

My teacher in College used to complain about his large fingers! Sigh... We often come across advice about the left hand aimed at 'normal' sized hands, but it doesn't work for us. We small handed violinists need specialised knowledge and help to overcome our specific issues. Remember that when it comes to technique we can agree on generalities, but all technique must be adapted to our individual physique, large or small and that's how we small handed violinists can find a lot of hope!
