Simple Koinonikon (1750)

Composed by Daniil. Sight-reading fragments. The simplicity of the composition seems unassuming, but that of the drawing (of St. Theodor) is wonderful - the spiritual power, the mystical beauty of the look, the deep understanding, kindness and sublime pain emanating from it as if from a holy chalice. Often the divine content of the feast, of the scriptural excerpt or of the icon are the converging connotations of the inner oasis where I look at the Music from; neumes are road-signs and not the road itself. Temporary post, requested reading. Thumbnail: 5th century chalice.
