Trace Elliot ELF & Fender Rumble - A portable & cheap bass rig!

Trace Elliot ELF & Fender Rumble - A portable & cheap bass rig! Review, test & sound demo by Have Guitar In this video I'll demo and talk about my bass rig, a Trace Elliot ELF Bass Head amplifier and a Fender Rumble 115 cabinet. I was looking for a portable and not too expensive rig as I accepted the part as a bass player in a local band. I was a bit worried if this would be loud enough for a band situation but it has proven itself to be good enough and then some... (band setting is drummer and two guitarists playing through 'lunch box' tube amps). So, the Trace Elliot ELF is a very small amp that actually could fit in the backpocket of your jeans. Unless you wear a very tiny size of jeans course. According to me and my taste it sounds great - together with my Thunderbird bass it delivers a loud punchy roar. The sound in this video is a mix of the lined signal (XLR into my soundcard, Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 2nd gen) and the Fender Rumble 115 cab mic'ed with a Shure SM57, I felt that gives the best represenation of how the rig sounds. I got the Fender Rumble 115 cab on a sale for less then half of the list price so I actually managed to buy a well sounding and compact bass rig for less than 5000 Swedish crowns (c:a 518 US Dollar or 465 Euros). For the price I payed for the Rumble I can't find anything negative to say about, it sounds great together with the ELF! I've tried be record this video somewhat methodically - going through the three EQ option in order to show how they affect the sound. Would have been nice if I would have had another bass to add in but I don't plan on spending any more money on basses. Right now that is. I also included a silly volume test in the video - wish I could have done that with the band, and maybe I can in the future. Still included it though. At least you can hear that it's loud enough to press my camera into the red! Actually, it even seems to affect the picture in a couple of spots if you look closely!! I do hope you like this video, a usbsctiption is welcome if you do... well, it's welcome if you don't too. There's a new video released every Thursday on my channel and hopefully they get better as time goes by. I would like to express my gratitude to you who subscribe - it is very much appreciated so Thank You!!!
