[2022 BDay!] AMAZING KONE Double Deck Elevators - Jakarta, ID (High Zone)

2022 Birthday Special! I'm speechless...these elevators are TOTALLY AMAZING!! These are double deck elevators with KONE Polaris destination dispatch located at the tallest office tower in the District 8 superblock, the Treasury Tower. These are also the first double deck elevators in Indonesia. Of course this means another big achievement for me; my FIRST time ever riding a double deck elevator! These are also the best destination dispatch elevators I've ever been on so far! To start off, there are 18 double deck elevators in this tower; three serve the low zone, another three serve the mid zone, and the last three serve the high zone. I only took the high zone since the higher zone of a building is recommended when filming elevators in skyscraper offices. They run at approximately 7 m/sec which makes them one of the fastest elevators in Indonesia to this date, but this record will probably be surpassed by Autograph Tower's Schindler 7000 once it is completed. As with many high rise office buildings in Jakarta with strict security level, all elevators are secured by pre-programmed access cards, meaning that you can't select any floors you want. On the upper ground floor there are KONE Turnstiles 100 where visitors/tenants must tap their access card to get into the elevator lobbies. These futuristic looking turstiles are integrated with the elevator system so they will automatically assign an elevator once you tap your card (Schindler PORT also does the same thing if integrated with turnstiles). It is also possible to call the elevator using any of the KSP 858 touch screens even if a car has already been assigned by the turnstiles. On all other floors, you need to tap your card first on the touch screen before selecting the exit floor. Inside the elevator cars there are two LCD screens (a larger screen and a standard KSS 900 screen) and only an alarm and door open button. The KSS 900 screen has an extra screen showing a list of registered destination calls. Interiors are black tinted mirror walls which look elegant and fits well for a luxury office tower. Since this is a double deck elevator, if one deck is busy, those who are on the other deck must wait until the other deck has closed its doors. Not a good idea for impatient people, but this is better than being stranded in the elevator lobby. Most people gets in and out the elevator on the upper ground floor, which is served by the upper decks.
