‘He will be sorely missed’: Donald Trump pays tribute to Village People singer
The lead singer of ‘Village People’, Victor Willis, has died at age 74. The band announced his death on social media, saying he died after a “short but aggressive” illness. Mr Willis was a founding member of what US President Donald Trump claims is his favourite band. The president paid tribute to Mr Willis on his Truth Social account. “We will think of Victor every time YMCA is played, like today, and all throughout this July Fourth Birthday week,” he said. “My condolences to his wonderful family and group. Victor Willis will be sorely missed. God bless him.”
