On the morning of May 10th, I had no particular destination in mind. After leaving the nearby temple area, I simply followed Jalan Burma and continued walking through the neighborhood. The quiet streets eventually led me to Solok Moulmein and then to Pulau Tikus Wet Market, one of the most popular local markets in Penang. Inside the market, vendors were busy preparing for the day while residents stopped by for fresh produce, seafood, meat, and breakfast. After wandering around the market, I sat down at a small local food stall and ordered breakfast. No tourist attractions. No itinerary. Just another ordinary morning in Penang.
