I wish manufacturers would make more sleeping bags with center zippers or zippers that open from both sides, like the Carinthia Defense 4 and Defense 6. The DD Hammock Jula2 has a center zipper and ample interior space, making it convenient for layering. While the Defense 6 has the advantage of being able to be used independently, it's difficult to use in other seasons. Furthermore, it's too bulky. However, using the Defense 4 as a base for layering, and using a three-season down sleeping bag inside, protects the down sleeping bag from condensation, and offers excellent portability, making it a great combination. Carinthia's Defense 4 is designed to be layered with its Tropen model. Even at the same weight, it's easier to pack two 1kg and 2kg sleeping bags than a single 3kg bag. This is because each bag can be used individually, depending on the situation, and the two can be combined for winter use. If that's too much trouble, you can just buy a proper, over-spec winter sleeping bag. Investing in a sleeping bag and mat is directly related to safety. Instead of using a stove in winter, using a proper sleeping bag and mat is much more beneficial, both for practicality and safety.
