Shafts, Drafts, and the Rigid Heddle
I'm frequently asked the following questions: How do I read a weaving draft? What is the relationship between two heddles on a rigid-heddle loom and a four-shaft floor loom? How can I tell which weaving draft I can use? The answers to these questions range from fairly straight forward explanations of how to read a draft to a lot of "it depends." In this video, I attempt to lay out these relationship in broad brush strokes. For more information on the fundamentals of setting up your loom to weave with two heddles, check out my video workshop from Interweave, "Twice as Nice" and "Double Your Fun".
