I Started the Skye Trail... And the Weather Turned Brutal | Skye Trail Part 1

Skye Trail Part 1 begins at Rubha Hunish on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, as I take on the first section of this unofficial 80-mile long-distance hiking route from the far north of Skye towards Portree. Day one gave us sunshine, huge sea views, and some of the best scenery I’ve ever seen while hiking in Scotland. But day two was a completely different challenge, with low cloud, strong wind, rain, clag, steep climbs, and the Trotternish Ridge proving exactly why the Skye Trail is known as one of the toughest long-distance walks in Scotland.
