Courage and persistence are the hallmarks of today's Open House, which took place in Cavalcante, Goiás, in the half-house, half-garden home of gastronomist Juliana Luz and architect Bruno Ferreira, of Simbiose Arquitetura. The couple previously lived in Brasília and frequented the waterfalls and forests of the beautiful Chapada dos Veadeiros in their free time, nurturing a distant dream of perhaps one day settling there. Then, four years ago, the opportunity arose for them to purchase a 300m² lot in downtown Cavalcante, and with a tight budget, they began researching affordable ways to bring the project to life. Bruno designed the home based on ecological principles that reflect their lifestyle, combining ancient regional techniques with a contemporary aesthetic. The layout boasts an unconventional 100m², illustrated by three separate modules embraced by breathtaking landscaping, filled with native trees and plants. This tour is a MUST-SEE!
