What does waterproof mean? Waterproofness is the ability of a material to prevent a fluid from passing through it, especially water. Waterproofness is measured by the amount of water that the material can hold until it seeps through, and breathability is measured in grams per square meter of material in 24 hours (g/m2/day). There are several types of such materials on the market, but the most important are: waterproof, water-repellent and water-resistant materials. The higher the degree of waterproofness, the lower the degree of breathability, which means that if we wear items with a high degree of waterproofness for fear of getting wet, we can end up sweating a lot and getting wet from the inside. So be very careful what you choose to wear depending on the weather you will have in the mountains. These materials are coated with a layer called Durable Water Repellent (DWR) which makes them water resistant for longer, but does not prevent water from penetrating. Materials of this type keep water droplets on the surface up to a certain amount of precipitation. This protective layer can diminish over time and therefore it is recommended to renew it using dedicated sprays. 💸 Revolut Donations: https://revolut.me/paul62bid 💸 PayPal Donations: https://www.paypal.me/PaulCrisanJr ▬ 📸 instagram:   / paulcrisanjr   Don't forget to share with your friends.
