Omaha Man Arrested in Foiled White House UFC Attack Plot | Drone Bombs, Shooting Planned

An Omaha man is in federal custody after authorities disrupted a plot to attack the UFC event held on the White House South Lawn this past Sunday. Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez was arrested during a raid at a church building he owns in Western, Nebraska — in Saline County. According to court documents, the alleged plot involved drone-delivered explosives followed by shooting at survivors as they fled the scene. Alvarez appeared before a judge via video conference Tuesday morning. If convicted on the murder conspiracy charge, he faces a possible life sentence and a $250,000 fine. Investigators say they identified Alvarez while probing 19-year-old Tycen Proper of Ohio, who had allegedly been stockpiling weapons and communicating in a Signal chat group called "Hunters" and a TikTok group called "Vanguard of the Old." In those chats, Alvarez allegedly went by the name "Shepherd." FBI Director Kash Patel says the bureau learned of the threat on June 10th — four days before the event — and moved quickly. Five people total are now in custody across multiple states. The FBI Omaha field office confirms there is no continuing threat to the public. Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen called Alvarez "one of the key ringleaders" of the plot and praised the Nebraska State Patrol for its role in the FBI-led operation. This is a developing story.
