Hello, we're the laid-back, tea-loving couple from Hokkaido. On the first day of Golden Week, we went to Ohnuma Campbase (Atsuma Town) for the second time this year. It's where we made our YouTube video debut, and it's one of our favorite campgrounds. The white winter was giving way to spring, but the cherry blossom buds were still small. Every Golden Week in Hokkaido feels like a question of whether the cherry blossoms will bloom or not. When we made our video debut, I wanted to introduce some vintage lanterns, so I planned to start with the original 200A lantern with a black band from 1953, and gradually move on to newer ones, but with each camping trip, the lanterns I introduce get older and older... This time, we'll be introducing the oldest lantern in our family, one that's over 100 years old. I won this junk item at auction for just over 10,000 yen, with no competition, and restored it by removing the rust and thick gasoline myself. Judging from the parts, I'm guessing it's an early model CQ. Also, our go-to camping dish, apple pie, is always baked in our original Coleman camp oven, but we had a bit of a problem this time... Vintage gear is sturdy, but humans are like junk (lol) It's still cold camping in Hokkaido during Golden Week, but I hope you'll watch until the end.
