Changing the Plan - Photography in the Peak District
This is a landscape photography walk in the Peak District National Park, filmed during a day of changing conditions and shifting plans. Starting at Ladybower Reservoir and later moving on to Bamford Edge, the video follows a real photography outing where the original idea simply stopped working. I begin at Ladybower Reservoir, expecting to spend the day exploring the shoreline and photographing the landscape. But as access becomes difficult and frustration starts to creep in, it becomes clear that the original plan isn’t working. Rather than forcing it, I make a conscious decision, in the moment and on camera, to change direction and head to Bamford Edge instead. This video isn’t a tutorial and it isn’t about maximising results. It’s a quiet photography walk about adapting plans, trusting the experience, and giving yourself permission to change course when something no longer feels right. Filmed in the Peak District, this is a reflective look at landscape photography as an experience — not a checklist.
