World’s First MTB Pump Track - Flow Trail? | Blausee Trail

Is this the world’s first MTB pump track stretched across an alpine mountain? 😄 The new Blausee Trail in the Aletsch Arena feels completely different from a traditional flow trail. Long, pumpable sections are mixed with rollers, berms, small jumps, natural singletrack and a few technical rock gardens. It is basically a giant mountain-bike pump track combined with a proper alpine flow trail, and honestly, the concept works incredibly well! Starting just below the Blausee middle station, the trail descends around 300 metres over 3.7 kilometres towards Riederalp. Along the way, you get spectacular views of the Weisshorn, the Matterhorn and the surrounding Valais mountains. Officially rated S2 / intermediate, it is also a great warm-up before tackling the more demanding enduro trails in the area. In this video, I ride the complete Blausee Trail and find out whether this unusual pump-track-and-flow-trail combination is actually as fun as it sounds. Spoiler: it absolutely is. 📍 Trail: Blausee Trail 🏔️ Location: Aletsch Arena, Switzerland 📏 Distance: 3.7 km 📉 Descent: 300 m 🔴 Difficulty: S2 / Intermediate 🚵 Trail style: Natural singletrack, rollers, berms, rock gardens and small jumps Would you call this a flow trail, a pump track, or something completely new?
