Lexani Wheel Company Got It Wrong... So I Fixed It Myself, Ole Yella Gal Transformation!

I've had Ole Yella Gal for a long time. She's a 1982 Chevy Stepside powered by a 6.0 LS-based 408 stroker with forged internals and plenty of other goodies. I kept her mostly classic for years, but I finally decided it was time to bring her back to life and take things to the next level. The goal is simple: get her back on the road, hit some Trucks & Coffee events, cruise with other enthusiasts, and maybe even join a car club. To make that happen, I went all in on the upgrades: ✅ Front coilover suspension✅ $8K custom-built 26-inch wheels✅ New seats and interior upgrades✅ Rear bed cut 3 inches per side✅ Bed tubbed and extended to fit the massive wheels✅ Lowered front and rear stance Of course, nothing custom ever goes exactly as planned. I ran into several problems getting the rear wheels and center caps to fit properly. There wasn't enough clearance between the wheel and the drum, and I also received defective center caps that wouldn't clear the lug nuts. I ended up modifying the center caps myself by cutting a notch in them so they would seat correctly. To make everything work, I also had to: ✔️ Install 1/4-inch wheel spacers✔️ Upgrade to longer wheel studs✔️ Purchase new long-shank lug nuts for proper thread engagement It turned into a much bigger project than expected, but that's why they call it CUSTOM. After all the headaches, fabrication, and problem-solving, Ole Yella Gal is finally sitting the way I wanted. She's drivable, she's turning heads, and she's ready to ride. This is just the beginning.
