Sharon & Samuel Sharon & Samuel's dream destination wedding, a fairytale come true with an elegant and timeless style, featured in Style Me Pretty Wedding Blog. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Sharon fell in love with the Castell de Sant Marçal all the way from Hong Kong. She was looking for the ideal destination wedding venue and fell in love the moment she saw it. When we visited, Sharon knew she had definitely made the right decision. We spoke about the wedding layout and flow in situ, decided on the main areas for each moment of the wedding and starting brainstorming the wedding colours and style. Sharon was so excited she had found the right venue that we couldn't stop talking about the details. Sharon and Samuel got ready at the Grand Hotel La Florida, set on top of the Tibidabo hill, with magnificent views of the city. A luxurious hotel, with very comfortable facilities, large rooms and excellent service that looked after not only Sharon and Samuel but all their guests too. The boys made the most of hanging around the pool for a good part of the morning, while the girls started with their hair and make up. Just before the ceremony, the bridal party went to the Castle to have a girly photo shoot and then hid away when the groom and his grooms men arrived, who also had a small photo session. The ceremony was set in the gardens, the Castle being the backdrop. Sharon and Samuel stood facing each other with their bridesmaids and grooms men at either side of them. Their guests were sat in a semi circle facing the Castle, with an immaculate white carpet leading up to the altar. The florals were a mixture of roses in white and soft pink with touches of greenery. We set two urns at the back of the bride and groom, an original alternative to an archway, allowing guests to see the Castle behind them. They wrote their own personalised vows, and then exchanged rings. Guest tossed white rose petals at the newly weds as they receded the ceremony, stopping for a kiss to die for. Following the ceremony, the guests were welcomed to the cocktail area by the caterer with glasses of champagne for toasting the Just Married couple. The cocktail also took place in the Castle's gardens. Followed by dinner in the main hall. Sharon changed her dress for the evening meal, and entered with Samuel as all their guests waved serviettes to the music, following the Spanish tradition. During dinner they had live music, a magnificent guitar and saxophone duet, which entertained guests as they dinned. The lovely couple continually surprised their guests as the evening went on, first with a very personal speech, then with a firework show that started the moment the bride and groom cut the cake, and lastly with their amazing first dance.
