Aerie by Lena Raine (from Minecraft) on alto flute! (among other things)

Sit back and breathe a sigh of relaxation with this beautiful cover from Minecraft... I'll admit it, I'm a Lena Raine fangirl now. All of her compositions for Minecraft end up being my favorite tracks in the game, especially this one! I was listening to the beautiful synth sound she used for the melody and thought to myself, "hey, that kind of sounds like an alto flute" - so I decided to play it on alto flute! The second section of this piece features the synth in higher register with the accompaniment increasing intensity, so we switch to C flute (regular flute) to highlight the brilliant upper tones. I'm also particularly happy with the piano on this, because I performed it myself! About the game footage: it was all done by me! This is my Minecraft character flying around on a backup copy of my Bedrock realm.
