Logging Through the mud: Bell Harvester Operations and Skidder dragging wood.

Welcome back to Koehn Logging! This week, we're dealing with some typical summertime challenges in the woods. The ground is wet, and we started out Tuesday by getting the Bell stuck in a soft spot and having to pull it out with the skidder. ​In this video, we're taking you along for the whole process—from soldering a bad electrical connector plug on the Bell and dealing with a pinched bar on a tricky hickory tree, to patching up a broken hydraulic fitting on the fly. ​Logging is all about adapting to whatever the day throws at you. While Dad was out hauling a load, I jumped into the knuckle boom loader to stay caught up on bucking logs on the deck. We wrap up the week switching over to a block of pine, getting some solid in-cab cutting footage, and watching Owyn pull some heavy drags out with the skidder. ​Thanks for tuning in to follow the crew.
