RSGB Tonight@8 - Basic fault-finding and basic electronics by Lee Aldridge, G4EJB
The presentation Lee will look at the prerequisites of construction, as well as the pros and cons about different types of construction. Following this he will look at what to do when you’ve built a project but it doesn’t work, including method, understanding some simple circuits and basic use of a DMM, your expectations, and checking and testing. About Lee Lee spent close to 35 years working in telecoms and electronics, however he will be known by many radio amateurs as a technical author and editor. Lee wrote a mini-series ‘Starting Over’ then another mini-series ‘Carrying on in a Practical Way’ for Practical Wireless and was also the editor and contributor for RadCom Basics, before he retired in 2023. He continues to write articles for RadCom Basics, as well as spending some of his time ‘tinkering’ or constructing projects. He enjoys the technical challenges and getting projects working – most of the time! He still uses QRP CW and SSB. First shown on 3 February 2025
