Remove Stuck Brake Line Tube Nut and Replace Brake Hose - IROC-Z Barn Find EP75

This video will show how to replace a brake hose with a stuck brake line tube nut. It will show how to break loose and remove a stubborn or stuck brake line tube nut. There are a couple of tricks to use that will help break loose a stuck brake line tube nut. One is to use heat while taking precautions to prevent fire. The second is to use a pair of vise grips to reinforce the tube nut wrench. This will reduce the clearance between the wrench and the tube nut and also prevent the open end of the wrench from flexing open under load. My plan was that I would record video on the left hand side. However, since I found the brake hose was damaged by abrasion, I needed to address that before I moved over to the left hand caliper. Background: This is a "Barn find" 1985 IROC-Z Z28 Camaro with Tuned Port (TPI) LB9 engine that had been parked in the same spot without running for 25 years. The original owner passed away and his father sold the car to me. It had just over 101,000 miles with virtually no rust on the body, very unusual for spending its life in Michigan.
