Cottages

Every cottage has a story. In Part 3 of our Knoebels History Series, Dick Knoebel takes us back to the early days of lodging at Knoebels, when a handful of cottages grew into one of the park's most beloved traditions. Over the years, guests could stay in everything from a covered wagon and trolley car to a schoolhouse and even a boat. Some cottages survived the Flood of 1972, while others live on only in photographs and memories. Along the way, you'll hear stories of Stony Gables before it had electricity or plumbing, the family members who called it home, and how a cottage from Port Trevorton was carefully taken apart, moved to Knoebels, and rebuilt, where it still stands today.
