There were three different, but related roles that I wanted to test it in: everyday carry, outdoor/hiking, and tactical. I found good performance in every role I put it in, and I think it can be easily pressed into most roles imaginable. Separate bags dedicated and specialized for each of those roles certainly would have done better, but if you can only afford one quality bag, and you need to fill multiple roles, this Kodiak Gearslinger does an excellent job. The Kodiak comes in several different colors, including Black, OD Green, Khaki, Foliage Green, Khaki-Foliage, and ACU camo (this review features a Foliage Green sample).
