TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a warning to citizens in Middle Eastern countries hosting United States (US) military bases to stay away from these facilities for safety reasons. In a statement released Friday (July 24), the IRGC asked the public to maintain a distance of at least 500 meters from all US military bases, including those claimed to be secret. In addition to issuing the warning, Iran also encouraged citizens to report information regarding the presence of US military bases in the region. To support this initiative, the IRGC opened a dedicated Telegram channel and provided a reporting service through its official website. This policy comes amidst increased Iranian attacks on several of Washington's allies in the Gulf and Middle East. According to Iranian media reports, the IRGC claimed to have attacked several US military facilities. Tasnim news agency stated that the targets included three ammunition and equipment storage facilities at the Al-Adairi base in Kuwait, as well as facilities associated with the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. The Iranian military also stated that Arash drones had attacked several US military positions, including the Udairi base in Doha, and the Arifjan base in Kuwait. Previously, Iran also claimed to have launched drone attacks on the Sheikh Isa air base in Bahrain and the Al-Azraq air base in Jordan. Meanwhile, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that his country maintains its policy of not accepting Israeli citizens. This stance came after the Malaysian government asked a dual US-Israeli citizen to leave its territory. This decision prompted the United States Department of State to summon the Malaysian Ambassador to the US, Muhammad Shahrul Ikram Yaakob, on Friday (July 24, 2026). The summons was issued to demand an explanation regarding Malaysia's policy towards Israeli citizens. Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan stated that the policy was not a new regulation. According to him, Malaysia has long not recognized Israel in its immigration policies. "That has always been Malaysia's policy. Our immigration policy does not recognize the State of Israel or the Zionist regime. This has been our long-standing position," said Mohamad Hasan. The case began when a citizen entered Malaysia using a United States passport. However, upon inspection, immigration authorities discovered that the individual also held Israeli citizenship. The Malaysian government then asked the citizen to leave its territory because its policy does not recognize Israeli citizenship. Mohamad Hasan emphasized that the decision was not based on his status as a US citizen. But rather because the individual in question was also an Israeli citizen. "There was an individual with dual US and Israeli citizenship who entered Malaysia using a US passport. After further inspection, it was discovered that he was also an Israeli citizen, so we asked him to leave," said Mohamad Hasan. The issue then escalated into a diplomatic issue. Eight members of the US Congress sent a letter to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding Malaysia's policy. They asked the US government to review its security ties and economic cooperation with Malaysia.
