Traditional 1900s Bedroll & Haversack Camping
This video describes my experience with traditional bedroll camping in the 1950s. I re-enact “outdoor skills and ethics” that I learned as a kid from my parents and grandparents. This early learning is supplemented with “outdoor and survival skills” from the Bushcraft YouTube Community. Learn how to: 1) make a comfortable bedroll, 2) sleep under the stars without a shelter, 3) start a campfire with flint and steel, 4) make potato, onion and beef stew and 5) keep eggs fresh without refrigeration.
