Be realistic with yourself in the weight you can maintain. 2. Eat healthy before your surgery. Avoid salty, greasy, heavy and processed foods. 3. Avoid drugs and alchohol. 4. Clean your home! The idea is to reduce risk of infection. Wash your linens, etc. 5. No pets in your beds! We want to reduce risk of infection. Board them, or make arrangements for them to not be around you. 6. Have supplies for recovery before your surgery. In our practice, we give you everything. But ask your surgeon what is recommended. 7. Don't stress! You've made the decision. I take every effort to ensure you have a safe and quick recovery. Please don't watch videos about surgery! It freaks most people out! And surgery videos on social media are becoming more of entertainment rather than paying attention to the procedure.
