Teaching in a Departmentalized Classroom

Teaching in a Departmentalized Grade Level has become the reality for many upper elementary teachers. Many of us are used to teaching EVERYTHING from Math to Reading, but times are changing. Schools are decompartmentalizing their grade levels and assigning teachers specific topics to teach in their classroom. In this video, I share my experience as a veteran teacher, who at times has felt like a first-year teacher all over again, my thoughts on departmentalization and what my schedule looks like as an ELA teacher in fourth grade.
