Técnica criação e estilo na pintura

What truly defines a painting style? Is there a right way to paint? To what extent does technique help—and when does it begin to silence creation? In this video, I share my perspective on style in painting based on my training in painting at the School of Fine Arts, observation of nature, study of past masters, and practical experience in the studio. We discuss technique as a foundation and repertoire, copying as a learning method in art history, and the risks of remaining solely in technical repetition. I also address the extremes: both the excessive rigor of copying and the gesture so loose that it ceases to communicate. Using simple examples, such as the metaphor of a handwritten letter, I reflect on facture, gesture, human presence, and creation, defending the idea that art does not exist to provide ready-made answers, but to provoke reflection. This is not a method, nor a rule. It is a personal point of view, constructed with respect for different artistic paths. If you are interested in painting, the creative process, artistic technique, art history, and style, this video is an invitation to reflection. 📲 FOLLOW ME ON OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA ✅ Website: https://marcobaptista.com.br/ ✅ Instagram:   / marcobaptista.arte   ✅ Facebook:   / marcobaptistaarte   ✅ Contact: [email protected]
