Ukraine’s robots making war with Russia like a videogame

Drones are taking over on the frontline of the Russian war in Ukraine. [Subscribe to our Substack newsletter: https://channel4news.substack.com/sub...] The dystopian combat zone is quickly turning the stuff of science fiction into reality, with aerial drones now dominating the so-called 'kill zone' and a growing army of ground drones replacing the work of human soldiers. These Ukrainian robots are now resupplying troops, evacuating the injured and even carrying out armed missions. One Ukrainian commander told Channel 4 News that entire sections of the frontline are now manned solely by drones. In the four years and four months since the full-scale invasion started, drones have helped to make Russian advances slower and far more costly in terms of casualties. The fiercest fighting is taking place along the so-called 'Fortress-belt', Ukraine's main defensive line in the east which connects a string of industrial towns including Kramatorsk.
