Why I Left Public Accounting

Oh Hey Guys- Welcome Back!!! I have spoken briefly on why I decided to leave public accounting in other posts, but never in great detail. Many of my other blog posts speak to the public accounting experience, so I am often asked why I decided to leave public accounting. In today's post I discuss what lead to my decision to expand my accounting career beyond the public accounting experience. To be clear, this is based entirely on my own experience and is in no way meant to discourage anyone from pursing a career in public accounting. I strongly believe that getting public accounting experience is something that every accountant will benefit from in ways beyond resume boosting.
