I Actually Feel Like an Assassin Again

It's been too long since a title truly captured the essence of the assassin fantasy, the feeling of lurking in the shadows, plotting the next move, the thrill of the hunt. It's evident from start to finish in the game, the development team genuinely "gets it". They've tuned into our desires, the nuances we missed, and the core elements that make Assassin's Creed so beloved. What's truly commendable about "Mirage" is its ability to blend the old with the new. It delivers a gameplay experience that, at its heart, is just pure fun. Remember those days when stealth wasn't a mere option but an art form? When every assassination felt like a puzzle, and every successful takedown was a symphony of precision? That sensation is back. The game masterfully crafts an engaging loop, making every stealth encounter feel rewarding and every choice impactful. And while the echoes of Ezio's charm or Unity's ambition might be in the background, "Mirage" isn't trying to be a mere reflection of the past. It's confidently carving its own identity within the series. It stands tall, proclaiming that while it draws inspiration from its predecessors, it's still very much Assassin's Creed in its unique, vibrant manner. There are a lot of things I would change about Mirage. Things I would improve, add and remove. But I promise you that not for the world would I ever want Mirage to not have been released.
